Unless you have been living under a rock, you have most likely heard of Prada Handbags or at least the Prada fashion label. This well known fashion name belongs to the Italian company that started in 1913 by the Prada family as a leathergoods store in Milan, Italy
Prada has not always been a fashion icon. Only in the late 1970’s did the house of Prada begin to burst on the world fashion scene. In 1979 she released the first of the totes and backpacks that would bring the company worldwide success. In 1984 the Prada shoe line was introduced followed in 1985 with the release of the classic Prada handbag that would rocket the company into the spotlight. The Prada handbags were extremely popular. They were functional, sturdy and highly fashionable. The world loved them. In 1989 Prada introduced their women’s ready to wear collections. The Prada collections stood out for their narrow belts and drop waist lines. Prada has retained its position in the world of ultra high fashion by designing apparel and accessories that are “unassertive, combining traditional good manners and an ultramodern industrial sleekness”. Prada appeals to affluent working women who have need of fashionable and sleek business attire.
